![]() RU Koda; Class of 2011; RU Sierra 12th Annual Young Horse Auction Sunday, May 1, 2011 Auctioneer: Col. Dennis Cassidy Preview and Bidder Registration begins at 11am in the Red Horse barn on College Farm Road (intersection with SheepFold Lane), Cook Campus. The auction will begin at 1pm, hopefully in the newly refurbished Round House (It is getting a new roof and should be ready by May 1!) Bidders must be registered and approved to obtain a bidder's card. Bidding will also be possible on-line through RealTimeBid. We highly recommend coming to inspect the horses and registering to bid in advance. Contact Dr. Ralston to set up an appointment: Ralstonvmd@msn.com, 732-932-9404 This year, of the 8 young horses we have, there there will be only five mustangs to bid on (see 2010-2011 page). Starting bids will be $500. Two of the horses, RU Sundance Kid and RU Annie Oakley, will be available for adoption rather than for sale. This is in accordance to BLM guidelines, as these two horses have not been to three BLM adoptions and are only being fostered by us. They will be available for adoption for $125 after the Ag Field Day show on April 30 to BLM Pre-approved adopters ONLY (click on red text link for details) on a first-come, first-serve basis. "Professor" RU Levi will be going to the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, generously sponsored by Liz Durkin for the rest of his hopefully long life, to serve as a teaching horse for the veterinary students to learn to recognize neurologic deficits in an otherwise healthy, happy horse! Contact Dr. Ralston for the forms, more details and for the complete sales list! The registration form and the sales list are now available for download!
