RU Koda; Class of 2011; RU Sierra
PROGRAM UPDATE 2011-2012
We are on hiatus this year, with no new horses brought onto campus. With the poor economy, difficulty placing horses and massive accumulation of unanalyzed data, Dr. Ralston decided to focus on getting data analyzed and re-assessing the direction the program should take. Two George H Cook Honors students are helping with the data (See below) and the research students are working on developing new items for the website and new directions for the program, such as improved resources to encourage responsible horse ownership.
The program is on-going and we will continue to showcase our "graduates"-both 2 and 4 legged! PLEASE SEND US UPDATES!

Updates!
May, 2012
We have archived somed of the hundreds of videos taken the last two years of both
the research trial behavior tests, horses playing, and even some procedures  such as
hoof trimming and inducing (and waking up) from anesthesia that are available
for public viewing in a searchable format in the Rutgers Libraries RUCore (Click here to access). In the search panel just type in your favorite 2010 graduate's name to see
their videos, or a topic!

April, 2012
ATTENTION GRADUATES (Both human and equine!)
We will be having a YOUNG HORSE REUNION PARTY Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the Colts Neck Trail Riders Poker Pace at Bucks Mill Park! The fee will be $10.00 per poker hand.  Mark your calenders and start training those 4 legged graduates for a fun trail event. It is a public event, but even if you don't bring your horse plan to come and compare notes and reminisce!  We already know of at least 8 graduates planning to attend!  Click here for more information.
Show off your Rutgers pride! We will have saddle pads available for sale at the reunion which will be black with red piping and have a "Rutgers Graduate" logo.
Even if you are unable to come to the reunion, contact Dr. Ralston if you are
interested in purchasing a saddle pad!

Please contact Dr. Ralston if you plan to attend the reunion, so
that we can estimate how many guests to expect!
